I think almost everyone has a family member who wears them. I infact have a few! My 46 year old auntie and my two little cousins. Upon hearing of this fact I almost disowned them - crocs could be causing the breaking of family bonds in my opinion as they continue to fool people. This is bad enough for the young children being bought them by 'loving' parents, although being young has the advantage your so cute you can get away with murder. I however am more concerned with the population of middle aged people wearing them not just at home, BUT IN PUBLIC!!!! :o
I understand I am possibly ailenating a huge percentage of the population with this rant, but I wonder why anyone would want to wear shoes without socks (i am not a fan of the foot). The croc in my opinion is just a poor replacment for my childhood holiday friend the gelly shoe! However the difference is that jelly shoes were a purly holiday shoe - people knew wearing them around in the UK was a rediculous idea.
To make matters more serious for fellow croc haters they are doing so well they have specialised croc stores where you can decorate your crocs (similar to build a bear i think, just without the cute bear), BUT celebs are wearing them!
I have to admit that this is one craze I dont think i'll ever get my head around..... Children - ok your little, noone blames you. Adults - are you seriously wearing the same shoes chefs wear on the basis they can go through the dishwasher?
I feel it is a slippery slope and hope all you croc haters the best of luck in avoiding these HORRIBLE shoes.
x
